  • Possess good communication and presentation skills.
  • Preferably possess knowledge in Management Systems.
  • Excellent command of English. Ability to converse in Mandarin will be an added advantage.

HSE Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a variety of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) activities to ensure that the organisation complies with external regulations and standards
  • Develops, plans, organizes and manages the HSE Program for major projects
  • Monitor and evaluate the organisation’s overall HSE performance to identify recurring problem; research, evaluate and recommend changes to technology, equipment, systems or processes that will improve the organisation’s HSE performance
  • Keep up-to-date with proposed and actual changes in HSE regulations.
  • Ensure that work conditions meet the HSE requirements and programs in place.
  • Plan and coordinate the training and certification of personnel for safety.
  • Coordinates and assures compliance with the Risk Assessment Processes.
  • Provides assistance to the site work process with safety planning and incident prevention.
  • Assist in safety audits and safety evaluation process.
  • Assist in conducting weekly safety meetings with the Construction Manager.
  • Attend safety/construction meetings and site inspection as required by the client and site walkabout schedule with client.
  • Prompt and efficiency on handling of incident and accident investigation.
  • Maintaining and completion of project HSE reports and documentation.
  • Collection, compilation, and reporting of HSE statistics for the project.
  • Preparation and submission of project HSE report to location Construction Manager, and or HSE Manager.

Requirements:

  • Specialist diploma in workplace safety and health or equivalent.
  • Diploma & above in a relevant Engineering Discipline is preferred
  • Registered workplace safety and health officer with MOM
  • Registered ECO with NEA preferred, ECMO with PUB/IES/ACES preferred
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in operations and co-ordination of safety work
